Oil & Gas Exhibition 2011

This was a second time i had involve in this exhibition since i joined in 2009. Nothing much task this year except was handling of goodies and f&b for the staff on duty. Not interesting part though.

Standing the whole time, from 9am till 6pm (yes yes, i sat too... but few times only hehehe), make me sick. After 3 days event, i felt my body no longer belong to me... floating till no where.... oh, i think floating to Paris... next to LV shop ^_^.

I should give two thumbs up to the management for the beautiful booth this year. I heard it was soooooooo freaking expensive. But, the turn up was really good... we were visited by the client from Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.

i'm not going to talk about the business here but i'm thanking God for the chance to have a job in this industry. The 'gold' type of industry that people always rated. That wasn't a easy job for our Datuk to handle, but we always pray for the good; more bonuses and high salary increment. Oh, not to forget next family day to Europe please... *cough*

Enjoy the picture of me... being so-not-comfortable-in-the-bloody-suit! ^_^

with Ucop Wilcha, the man who became a fenomena in the film industry after his 'Hantu Kak Limah Balik Rumah' movie. Oh, i had watched 3 times and still laughing like a hell man!

Boss, please be considerate! and tell the management that i'm not good enough, so that on the next two years, i'll be excluded from the staff on duty list. Amin. :)

RIP

Last week I had a very sad week. Apart of losing energy and had so much body aches all over the body for being a booth girl at my Company Oil & Gas Exhibition, I had a veryyyyyy shocking news from my friend.

Something that made me appreciate life more than I did yesterday.

I was still serving the guest at the booth the moment I received a call. My friend 6-months old niece just passed away which was initially suspected fell down at babysitter’s house. I did not believe it at first and who would if the news came in sudden.

I managed to visit the parents at mortuary PPUM right after finishing the exhibition. I can’t help myself to hold on the tear when hugging the mother. I do not have children, but still, I can feel what she feels. Off course, that was not easy thing to handle.

I still remembered her mumbling “we were married at very late age, having a baby just for 6 months only before God taking her with Him…”

I don’t know how to express my sorry towards the parents but for sure, I cried a lot when attending the funeral. Seeing the mother crying throughout the day, fainted a few times and the father sat down at the corner of the house looking nowhere… I just pray hard to God, hoping that God won’t take anyone that I love most soon... I just not ready for it.

The baby was initially believed to have been abused, but an autopsy was conducted to ascertain the cause of death and indicated that she died after choking on some food.

Rest in peace baby Rania Batrisya Zul Azmi and we all love you so much. Al Fatihah.

To Angah and Diana, everything happen for a reason, be strong for the upcoming days… may God bless you forever. Amin.

Birthday Again

This was happened when we skipped the monthly birthday celebration hehehe

We had a group of friends/Auntie/Uncles who will always get to gather for at least once in the month for the birthday celebration. But, for the last few months, most of the 'forum' members had their schedule ahead us, so we had skipped the celebration for about 4 months.

Once we met up... tadaaaa... 6 cakes on the table for 7 birthday boys/girls for the month of Feb, Apr and May hehehehehe. Luckily, they had prepared one cake for me and hubby... if not we need extra table to accomodate 7 cakes then ^_^.

I had so many birthday gifts e.g. Gucci Perfume, L'Occitane SPF, Crabtree Evelyn body Lotion, Kain Baju Kurung, Clutch, undies, pink pajamas (ehem) and t-shirt.

Thank you so much friendsssssss.

Don't forget next year ya hehehe.

Jakarta & Bandung Trip

Most of my girlfriends have Bandung as their second home. Almost 3 or 4 times a year, they had travelling for some new outfits & shoes seem that there are no shopping complex / outlet available in KL. Even worst, some of them are leaving for Bandung for almost every month.

I swear they had influenced me for this shopping gateway. *cough* Never, I had never go oversees just mainly for shopping and I normally prefer for some site seeing activity with camera for camwhoring (off course -__-) and to enjoy the beautiful scenery. I do shop (I’ll lie if I’m not hehe) but not as shopaholic like this time.

Do you know what the meaning of shopaholic?

If you are manage to change more than half of your wardrobe in the short time of period, and then you are shopaholic girl.

No, sorry, I still not manage to change even half of my wardrobe. My hubby will vomit sick if he realized it.

We opt to Jakarta before Bandung and off course we got the cheapest ticket too this time. We using MAS airline for way back to KL from Bandung, it was cheaper compared to Air Asia and at least we weren’t to worry about our luggage weight.

MAS

Luggage from KL

Luggage from Bandung hehehe

I managed to shop at Manggar Dua shopping centre in Jakarta (they claimed the most visited mall in Jakarta) before headed to Bandung. I didn’t buy much as shopping in Bandung was the main agenda for the trip. We took train to Bandung at the Manggir station and I was planning this for a long time. I eager to see the so called ‘Indiana Jones’ scenery throughout the journey as if you can see from the world map, Bandung exactly surrounded by the hill side and located at 768m above sea level.

View from flight

Wow, the scenery must be stunning! So what did we see?? Oh... well... just nothing! :(

Railway station

Tut-Tut

Because by the time we reached the area, it was already dark! Travelled by train from Jakarta at 4pm (local time) wasn’t a good idea as Indonesia started dark at 5.30pm onwards. I’m sure to be smart next time!

We stayed at Kenangan Hotel, just about 3 minutes walking distances from Bandung Train station and 8 minutes walking distance from Pasar Baru. Smart girl this times ya! We had the factory outlet (FO) hoping on the first day after our visit to Tangkuban Perahu. I had soo many blouses only in one day. Wow, I can’t believe it!

But one thing for sure, I love Manggar Dua as much as I love Factory Outlet (FO) in Bandung. In Jakarta, the designs are trendy and feminine but in Bandung are more to sporty and office garments moreover exactly what you can find in Jalan Tuanku Abd Rahman in KL. I’m also not into t-shirt & jeans so much that’s why I felt so regret not to shop at Manggar Dua (Oh this is what I said after I had so many clothes ^__^). There are a lot of things that you can’t get in Bandung. The design in Manggar Dua reminds me on our local designer creation concept such as The Pop Look, PU3, Mimpi Kita, Shasha Rowena, etc (just pick some of the name, you may find them at www.fashionvalet.net, oh yeah… you are most welcome Vivy Yusof – FV owner ^_^)

What you see from Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, everything available in Pasar Baru. You can buy all sort of materials for Hari Raya and Malay wedding (I just curious why I did not come here before my wedding?) in Pasar Baru which far cheaper than in KL. I got a lot of materials for my parents and siblings and our Raya theme this year is going to be Green.

Foods in Bandung are tasty compared to Jakarta. Thank God for bring in a fast food restaurant in Jakarta hehehe. Don’t talk about price here as in Indonesia everything is consider cheap! (Maybe due to the conversion rate). Even we dine-in in so called luxury restaurant, but it still far cheaper than in KL.

Tangkuban Perahu

The place Must-Go in Bandung

I love all things and stuffs that I bought, even it still better if I could shopping more at Jakarta. For sure I’ll come back again to Bandung (with more money off course) and this time shopping in Manggar Dua will be a must.
